BOOM CHICAGO - IMPROVISATIE COMEDY THEATER IN AMSTERDAM
Boom Chicago’s shows zijn een spektakel van snelle improvisaties, video, muziek, internet en scherpe sketches die in hoog tempo met elkaar worden afgewisseld. De acteurs, de musical director en de multi-media technicus maken samen een comedyshow gebaseerd op de actualiteit en suggesties van het publiek. Boom Chicago speelt dagelijks in het Leidseplein Theater in hartje Amsterdam. In de zaal zit je aan lange tafels en kun je voor de voorstelling genieten van heerlijke internationale seizoensgerechten die door Chefkok Dave Cahill met alleen de verste ingrediënten worden gemaakt. Yankee Come Back!A new comedy show about the Dutch, the Americans and the funny differences between them. 2009 marks the 400 year anniversary of the Dutch founding of New York, then New Amsterdam. In a multimedia spectacle of sharp sketches, improvisation, videos, internet and live music, the actors of Boom Chicago examine the relationship between the two countries that has lasted 400 years. How will that relationship continue in the future and how do both groups think about themselves and each other? And what about Barack Obama? Is this the comeback for American leadership on the world stage? Can the U.S. climb out of the political and economic malaise? Boom Chicago is optimistic and ready to laugh about things!
